• Quality Wine - Cuvee Ines Rouge - Moulin Des Nonnes Wine Brothers Henri and Louis Andrieu’s family have owned this 110 hectare property east of Carcasonne for four generations and there is a real sense of continuity combined with a desire to maintain and improve the family inheritance. Louis speaks of “le beau métier du vigneron” as if it is his duty to make the best wines he possibly can and achieves this through a combination of very low yields (down to 35 hl/ha – amazing for this part of France) organic grapes and partial barrique ageing. The Andrieus are very much at the forefront of the new wave of winemakers in the Languedoc. As for the name Le Moulin des Nonnes is the old mill which still stands in the middle of the vineyards once used by the Clarisses (Poor Clare) sisters of the former convent to grow grain.
