On a recent visit to the newly built and deep cellars ofAlain to taste through his 2006 and 2007 Puligny Montarchets we were expecting to taste some decent wine as his father had hadsome seriously good vineyards and always made a true style of Puligny. It has to be said we were not disappointed Alain has improved on his father`s achievements and regularly turns out exemplary wines with great typicity and class.2006 Bourgogne Blanc It`s hard to believe this is just a humble Bourgogne Blanc. From vines within Puligny this has such good structure and concentration of fruit that one would be better to think of it as baby Puligny"!
