Ermitage L'ermite 2004 M. Chapoutier Wine Inky in the glass, the aromas revealed sweet crème de cassis, fresh blackberry and cherry, with a slight smoky nuance. The palate revealed a true wealth of finely-tuned fruit, concentrated, structural and quite taut. Characters of pure black fruit, gently infused with pepper and spice dominate the palate.
